Neville tells how his friend and publisher Grace, unwell two years earlier, dozed while watching a travelogue on TV and on waking said aloud that she must remember what Neville said — 'I am with you always to the end of the age' — which he identifies as the words of the risen Christ.

He recounts a letter he received that week from a lady who dreamed of her joyless children sitting in a bare room waiting for their father, until word came that the father's work was finished and would not return; the scene then changed to a farm house where her eldest son ran in joyfully saying he had created for himself, and all the children came alive.

He received a letter that week from a friend present at the lecture, who twelve years earlier dreamed he was strapped lengthwise along the back of a bull, feet on its head, looking up at the sky, and had wondered ever since what it meant; Neville reads it as being strapped to the back of the creator.

Neville's friend Bob telephoned him the night before: after a Pasadena concert Bob sat at home in Eagle Rock imagining a little more money coming in, and next morning his boss gave him twenty-five dollars a month more.

A friend named Marta saw Neville's transformed body clothed in power, recognising his earthly face in it, and departed this world a month or two later, two years ago while he was in San Francisco.

Neville reads a letter that came that week from a woman who dreamed of building a crooked pathway of squares and triangles up an enormous mountain to find the Father, heard a voice say 'Be', later 'I am the Father', and later still that she was a priestess after the order of Melchizadek — and he answers her from the platform.

A lady present in the audience gave Neville, the previous Friday night, her account of waking from a profound sleep with only Neville in her mind, recalling a dream in which 'that man Neville' talked on and on about the Father and the Son, and feeling as though she were a puzzle a piece of which had been put back into its original place.

A woman friend with an extraordinarily keen ear telephoned Neville the day of the lecture, distressed: she had 'played back the record' for a male neighbour who wanted to be rid of a disturbing family nearby, and within days that couple were killed on the highway, leaving three children.

The night before, at a 250-man motorcycle club party in the same hall, a woman walked into the kitchen with a left coat claiming her brother had left it; the supervisor Mr. Harrison caught the lie about her brother's employer and took the coat back.

The same friend told him some months earlier of a dream in which, after events below deck including falling in love with a Negress though happily married to a Caucasian woman, he came up on deck to find the ship setting sail toward the mainland - which Neville read as going home.

His friend Sharon, present at the lecture, told him that on reading a new edition of The Lost Books of the Bible and Forgotten Books of Eden she found recorded there her own experience at fourteen, when at the dinner table her mother offered her a glass of milk and time stood still, her parents and sister frozen; she fled to her bed in tears, and on turning the pages to escape the book she read the line from Ode 19 of the Odes of Solomon about a cup of milk offered and drunk.
