Six or seven months after Jack died, Neville was consciously out of the body when his sister-in-law Al and the dead Jack both came into the room; he put his hand on Jack's solid thigh to prove his reality and Jack slapped it away, then the scene shifted to Jack's happy Florida citrus-grove years where he threw grapefruit, until Neville's small daughter woke him calling him to breakfast.
