Neville recounts a visionary experience in which he led an enormous crowd in gay procession to the house of God; a voice declared God walked with them, a woman at his side asked where, was told “At your side,” turned, saw Neville and became hysterical, asking “Is Neville God?” — answered “Yes, in the act of waking” — after which the voice within said it had laid itself down within him to sleep and dreamed.
