Neville recounts his resurrection: a terrific vibration in his head which he took for a fatal brain hemorrhage, waking to find himself sealed in his own skull as in a sepulcher, pushing at the base of the skull until the stone rolled away, and coming out inch by inch head first like a child being born, with the wind intensifying and the body vanishing.
