Neville recounts a vision in which he was confronted by two creatures - a hairy, guttural monster who called the angelic being "Mother" and grew stronger with every blow Neville struck, and a glowing angelic woman; realizing the monster was the personification of his own misused energy, he pledged to redeem it though it take him Eternity, whereupon it withered in seconds and its energy returned to him.
