Neville recounts a vision in which he sat on the floor before twelve men explaining the Word of God; one left to inform the authorities, and a tall, richly robed man entered, hammered a wooden peg into Neville's shoulder, cut away his sleeve, formed a cross with his arms, and embraced and kissed him — which Neville reads as fulfilling the 22nd and 53rd chapters of Isaiah in one night.
