On a Christmas night two or three years ago Neville had a waking dream of a Fifth Avenue mansion in which a grandfather used to stand on an empty lot saying "I remember when this was an empty lot"; he woke at 3:30 in Los Angeles, wrote it down, went back to bed and re-dreamed it, this time as the grandfather himself.
