He tells of his sister's maid, who tries to relate his drinking to a Bible passage she cannot quote; he supplies it himself (the dog returning to its vomit) and later the Corinthians verse about food, having to show her the passage and page, and she is amazed that a man who drinks and eats meat knows her Bible better than she does.
