Neville's brother Victor once met a Barbadian man known as 'the prophet Jordan', reputed to have real prophetic vision. Jordan asked Victor, then a boy of eight, what he wanted to be, foretelling he would be a successful businessman as he wished; he made similar pronouncements about the other Goddard brothers, including that their brother Lawrence would become a successful doctor -- which he did. Of Neville, then six years old, Jordan reportedly said, 'Don't touch him! He belongs to God. He was sent this time into the world to do the work of God.' Neville says Victor never told him this story until years later, though he gives conflicting accounts across lectures of just when that disclosure happened.
