When Neville was seven or eight an old Englishwoman at Bathsheba, on the windswept side of Barbados, told him he would do something men would discuss for centuries, with two others named with him, and gave three proofs: he would leave Barbados and live abroad, be the first of his family to marry, and have two children - all of which came true (he left Barbados in 1922, married first though fourth in line, and has two children).
