“I believe that God is love and he loves me, but why am I so afraid of thunder and lightning”? Well, my dear, I made the statement the other day and I think I can repeat it. You may not have been here. I’ll tell it in the form of a story. It was a mission and one of the pupils in the mission said to the missionary, “Do you really believe that God is our Father and that he cares for each and every one of us?” The missionary said, “I most certainly do!” And the pupil said, “Then why do you worry?” The habit of worry really discloses a lack of faith in the sovereignty of God. If I say that he is my Father and truly cares for me and then I worry, then I am simply revealing a lack of faith in the one I say I love and believe in. So, we try every night to get over to everyone a transference of their beliefs to this one being that really should have all of your faith. So instead of having something on the outside, in the event that this fails, you don’t…he said, “You either serve me or you don’t. He who is not with me is against me.” You’re either for me or against me. And we go right to that core of all things, which is your own wonderful human Imagination. And you will not be concerned about lightning and thunder. He is controlling everything, everything…but everything. And so, my dear, fall in love with the being who so loves you that he actually became you that you, in turn, may become God. God became you, individually, that you may become God. And in you, his name is I AM, that’s his name. All that he did he will do in you. So, just try it, prove him first in the outer world. Take a goal, something you really want, and then apply this principle toward the fulfillment of it, all in your Imagination, just as though it were true, and walk that way.368 ¶46
