Benny came home on Saturday and told Neville of a vision he had had two days earlier, in which six violent men with knives and healed scars came at him; he told one of them the violence was wrong, and the man answered that even if he wanted to stop it, he could not.

Neville reports that his friend Benny telephoned him the previous night to say he had seen David in a dream on March 6th, the very day Neville had foretold; Benny recognised a boy of about fourteen as David, who called him Father, and Neville now prophesies Benny's ascent for July 8th.

Neville's friend Benny told him that on a Friday morning he woke cataleptic, unable to open his eyes, heard an unearthly wind and the cry of a child in his skull, and a star burst from his head which became an infant in swaddling clothes that he held and called 'my darling', leaving him with a photograph of the child.

Neville says he has repeatedly told his audience from this platform the experiences of his friends Bob and Benny alongside his own, each of whom had the birth happen in a different manner.

His friend Benny, present in the room that night, told him of a black actor, David Moses, who was about to quit the theatre until he read Neville's book Out of This World; Neville autographed a book for him with Blake's line about the fool persisting in his folly, and within weeks the man got the Greyhound commercial and then pictures, TV spots, a Diahann Carroll appearance and a Danny Thomas pilot.

Neville recounts that his friend Bob's experiences came in the same chronological order as his own, though Bob did not date his letter, and says he is now waiting for Benny's next experience about the 6th of March of next year.

Neville says he keeps a chronological record of others' mystical experiences, and names Christine, Bob and Benny as having had the birth in the same order he teaches, with Benny anxiously awaiting one more in July.

Benny, a friend, came to Neville the previous Saturday afternoon with a written dream in which he found a garden scene and told Neville standing at a lattice all his desires, and Neville answered 'Don't desire, live it!'

Benny came home the other night and told Neville and Bill again, over Martinis, how he lifted the infant wrapped in swaddling clothes, saw its rosy cheeks, embraced it and called it "my son, my sweetheart, O my darling" before it vanished leaving only a portrait of itself in his hand; Neville waits for the 6th of March when David will call Benny Father.

Bennie told Neville that a couple of days before the vision he had seen Neville in the spirit teaching the word of God, being asked to tell the story of Jesus and answering that it is a persistent assumption.

Bennie reported that on Friday morning he became cataleptic, heard a child's cry and an unearthly wind, saw a star burst from his skull, and received a swaddled child and its photograph; Neville dated the experience to October 20, 1967.

Neville says the same chronological order of mystical events happened to him and to his friend Bob, and so predicts the birth of David five months after Benny's experience. Neville marks Benny's vision as having happened on 20 October 1967 and predicts its fulfillment (David's coming) five months later, circa 20 March 1968 -- a forecast, not yet an established happening.

Neville names friends — Bob, Christine and Benny — in whom the same drama has unfolded, and says he would compile their accounts with his own the way Luke compiled his narrative.

Hungry to find someone else who had had the same experience, he found a twenty-two-year-old adopted boy in San Francisco who had just had it, but the boy quarrelled with his parents and vanished before Neville could learn the later phase; later his friend Bob Crutcher, then Christine, then Benny had the experience too.

Neville tells the audience that Benny, present in the room, is literally the father of David, God's only begotten son, and expects Benny to have the third experience within a week or two.

Neville shares a letter from his friend Benny, who was left to mind children at a party and was approached by a blond, blue-eyed lad he knew to be his son David, and who later discovered while retelling it that he had been dreaming; Neville interprets Benny as the Ancient of Days and prophesies he will be split in two on the 8th of July.
