Description
Neville tells how his brother Victor, penniless and running a little shop on a Barbados side street, imagined for two years that the family sign J. N. Goddard & Sons stood on one of the biggest buildings on the main street in place of F. N. Roach & Co.; on the day of the sale a man who had never called before offered to buy it for him through his lawyer on a ten-year six-percent note, and the family owned it that day.
