Visiting New York City last summer, Neville went to call on the metaphysical bookstore where he had long bought books from a woman named Mary, only to be told by a friend that Mary had been struck by a car and killed a month earlier; she had never been interested in what his books contained and never gave him a chance to tell her what he had experienced.

Aldous Huxley told Neville that he wrote every day whether or not he had a commitment, rising early to write although he was nearly blind and could not type.

Neville says people now write him letters day after day telling him of visions in which they saw him as the Being he knows himself to be.

A woman present at this lecture told him a dream in which she was discussing the principle of imagining with others and directing the vision rather than being its victim; he asked her to write it out for him.

Neville says members of his southern class in L.A. and of his New York audience write to him reporting their experiences, many of them marvelous foreshadowings rather than the Word itself.

Just before he came up to speak, a woman friend with an "incurrent eye" told him a vision in which she went to a loan company to borrow money and found Neville behind the desk as owner and Chairman of the Board, Infinite Love who would grant any request without collateral; she thought "He is a victim of his own love," and on the way out met a distraught woman turned down everywhere else who she knew would also be granted her loan.
