Description
His friend Mort would smoke past 'No smoking' signs, insisting they did not say 'positively', and walked right through the airport gate with his cigarette without anyone stopping him.

Speaking of the end of his own days, he says he has kept the faith and that when the garment of the body is taken off now, it is for the last time.

Description
A friend of his whose favourite remark was that a sign "didn't say it positively" came aboard a plane at New York City smoking a cigarette and bringing another friend on board to see Neville off, several times.

He received a letter last Friday night from a little girl named Maylo, about nine, describing a dream in which her father was being tortured underground by a devil holding a fork with fire on it and a spoon bearing Neville's picture labelled 'Enemy'; Neville appeared carrying her sister, the devil screamed and faded, her mother went to kiss him and he faded, and a voice said he is what others call dead, what others call a spirit, what we call the God in us.
