A woman friend of Neville's had a vision of a loaf of bread that was alive and pouring forth blood, which he interprets as her complete acceptance that imagining creates reality, making church communion unnecessary for her.

A woman had lost her bag on a trip and, rather than dwelling on the loss, imagined that she already had it back, mentally unpacking her clothes and the gifts she had bought for family and friends. Six weeks after returning home, on 26 November, she received a letter from the airport warning that her bag would incur storage charges if not collected within five days; she had it retrieved with a friend's help, never having told the friend it had been missing at all.

A woman wrote to Neville describing how, after her luggage was lost by an airline on a flight from La Guardia to Chicago, she refused the loss, nightly imagined lifting the bag onto her bed and putting away the clothes and gifts, and six weeks later was notified by the airline to collect it or be charged storage.

A second woman shared with Neville a dream in which she stood in a neighbour's kitchen among Mennonites who had killed the neighbour's second husband; gunmen entered, she awoke within the dream, froze everyone, told the gunman he loved the woman, and watched him lay down his gun and embrace her before her alarm woke her.

A woman who studies with Neville wrote to him describing how she lost her most valuable suitcase in transit from New York to Chicago, refused to accept it as lost, imagined every night that she had it home and was unpacking the clothes and presents onto her bed, told no one - not her daughter, her grandchildren, her friend or Neville - and six weeks later got a letter from the airport threatening storage charges, and collected the bag intact.

A second woman in the audience told Neville that he had been with her all through the night explaining the mystery of imagining, calling on his 'brothers' to demonstrate: one brother silently looked at a man's ledger that showed exhausted funds, and the money appeared recorded there.

A second woman, also present, wrote to Neville on 2 December describing a dream in which she stood in a neighbour's living room full of Mennonites who had killed the woman's second husband; gunmen arrived, she woke within the dream, felt and arrested the activity in herself that made the figures seem alive, froze them, and then told the gunman and the woman that they loved each other, whereupon he laid down his gun and embraced her - and her alarm woke her before she could free the rest.

A woman friend told Neville of a dream in which she found herself among people dressed in 300-year-old fashion, where armed men in black came to kill; realising the dream was herself pushed out, she froze her perception, changed the killer's motive from murder to love, and released it, and he laid down his gun and embraced the woman.
