Neville reads a letter received the day before from a woman who woke to a hammer-blow on her head and the suns of the universe coming alive, later saw her own body lying outlined in light on the bed and was possessed by a descending light, and now sees everything in vivid colour and steps into another world at will.

Neville reads out a letter from his friend Bill, who in a vision sat on a nest, saw an egg break and a two-inch Neville come out, who then grew to immensity and led Bill and their mutual friend Jan Johnson up into the sky by the hand.

A Special Delivery letter reached him in the morning's mail from a woman present at the lecture, recounting two visions: a bare room filling with real pearls and a voice telling her 'He will find you', and a crowd where she refused a million dollars rather than deny that imagining creates reality, after which her eldest daughter - an ardent Catholic who personifies reason to her and calls Neville only 'him', the anti-Christ - asked why she had not taken it and given it to her.

A woman friend present at the lecture told Vicki the story of her family's blind horse led down from the High Sierras by another horse; Vicki wrote it up in synopsis form, Neville registered and posted it to Disney, and that very day a letter came from Disney accepting the story and asking her to name her price.
