Description
An engineer friend in New York who had never earned more than $10,000 a year came to Neville's meetings, was told to imagine himself in the Madison Avenue firm's office, took the elevator in imagination and hung up his hat, and within a week was working there at $15,000 a year; after about five years with the firm he simply did not wake one morning.

Korean War soldier enters a European dance while hospitalized in Japan
Description
In San Francisco a man who attended Neville's meetings told him of a stranger met in a bar who, wounded in the Korean War and lying in a hospital in Japan, found himself in Europe dancing with a lady in hoop skirts, told the crowd he was an American soldier, and returned by assuming he was back on his hospital bed.

Description
A socially and politically prominent New York lady, daughter-in-law of a former governor of New York who became Vice President and then President, began attending Neville's meetings, came to his apartment for help subletting her New York apartment so she could open her Long Island summer home; he told her to sleep that night imagining she was in Long Island, and within two days a tenant took the apartment with immediate occupancy and she and her husband physically moved out to Long Island.

Description
In December 1950, Sam — a pillar of the Episcopal Church of New York and a trusted financial advisor to his church's board despite having only a fixed salary — and his wife, Neville's sister-in-law, came to Neville in desperation. Both had attended fine prep schools and colleges (Sam and his brothers at Harvard, his wife at Smith) and wanted the same education for their own two children, but saw no way to afford it. Neville advised Sam to go to sleep that night assuming the money was already provided.
