Description
About fifteen years before this lecture, a friend's wife wished her husband were more successful. Using the technique of imagining from the premise already fulfilled, Neville held an inner conversation on her behalf, and the husband's small firm was eventually absorbed into a larger one, then a still larger one, which kept him on with a raised salary and a commission over an expanding sales team. Yet his wife remained dissatisfied: over the fifteen years since, she repeatedly spent far more than the small house was worth renovating it, completely re-carpeting and refurnishing it more than once, without ever feeling satisfied.

Description
In 1951 Neville's brother-in-law Sam, stuck in the Trust Department of the Bank of New York and unable to see how to put his two children through college, came to him for help; Neville told him to sleep each night in the feeling of a heavenly day investing enormous funds, and while Neville was away three months in Barbados Sam was offered the job managing the Rockefeller brothers' private funds.
