The same friend told Neville that, elated after hearing from her mother, she went into the kitchen to make coffee and out of nowhere heard his voice come like thunder saying 'That's the spirit!', so that she nearly dropped the coffee and stood trembling.

Neville tells, as something he knows to be true, of a New York lady who willed two million dollars to Saint Thomas if Bishop Manning died before her, otherwise to Saint Luke's Hospital — and the bishop outlived her, so the hospital inherited.

People have repeatedly told him it must be one particular man or no man; he asks whether they would still want to marry if that man dropped dead, and he has sat in church at their weddings to someone else.

He knew Baird Spalding, author of Masters of the Far East, who attended his meetings at the Ebell and died stepping off a car; Spalding wrote his books as fact although he never left America and never saw India, and shares Neville's publisher.

Neville, who once believed in astrology himself, taught it years ago to a retired school teacher friend named Norma, who became a professional astrologer; when a breeze blew her papers she drew the wrong chart and told a client his venture would succeed, and the promised $100 check arrived anyway - she remained an astrologer until her death though she knew the charts meant nothing. Norma accidentally drew a chart for a person born ten years later because wind had turned her ephemeris pages, yet her confident reading persuaded the businessman.

Neville was present that evening when a Western Union messenger brought Norma the $100 check the client had promised. Neville says he was in Norma's hotel rooms when a Western Union messenger delivered the promised one-hundred-dollar check that evening.

A friend wrote to Neville describing a dream in which, at four moments in time, he entered a plush eating establishment in England and was greeted as royalty; when he tried to disguise himself by entering the rear door the maitre d' said 'He really is the Lord.'

A friend wrote Neville a letter describing a vision of a fish standing erect on its tail holding a fishing rod, which conveyed that it never loses a man it goes after; Neville interprets the fish as the symbol of Jesus Christ and says the man is not far from being caught.

He recounts a woman's vision in which he arrived in a self-propelled carriage wearing a cape and carrying a briefcase, proclaimed the power of God, and vanished; she said to herself 'That is Neville, and yet it is God.'

Neville says a few members of his audience have shared their experiences with him, and he knows from them that their seed has been fertilized.
