Neville retells one of the forty case histories from his book The Law and the Promise: Dr. Moore, who had no money, slept in the assumption that his income-producing building was already built, and a total stranger who was a builder stopped by, raised the money, put up the building on the empty lot and handed him the key without a penny of Moore's own.

Neville speaks of his friend who teaches his audience in the city through the year and takes time off while Neville is there so they are together daily, and retells that friend's story from The Law and the Promise: having imagined and heard himself getting the record he wanted, he was told at the shop 'we do not have it', replied mentally 'That's not what I heard you say', and on his way out the man found the exact album on the shelf.

Neville recalls his old friend and teacher Abdullah trying to show him how to pronounce the unpronounceable name Yod He Vau He, which required a belch.

During a wealth-against-poverty uprising in Barbados that lasted about twenty-four hours, Neville's brothers fled home guarded by their servants, but his father had his colored chauffeur drive him straight down to the wharf through a crowd of tens of thousands armed with sticks and knives; a voice called "It's the chief, let him through" and the car went through untouched.

Neville tells of a lady he knows well who returned from nearly a year in Paris to find her New York apartment stripped by her maid; he met her in her hotel and explained what he would do, she imagined herself seated in her own chair among her own furniture, and shortly after - disturbed by the bars on a bank door on Madison Avenue that recalled her earlier confinement, and turning the wrong way - she recognised the maid's ankles on a street corner and recovered the stored furniture that police and private detectives could not find.

Neville retells a story from one of his books about a very dear artist friend, Dora B., whose father was killed leaving her untrained and working as a waitress in San Diego; on a rainy Christmas Eve on an open streetcar she hid her tears in the rain and imagined herself holding the rail of a ship coming into a South Pacific island - shortly afterwards a Chicago legal firm notified her of a $3,000 legacy from an aunt in Switzerland, and within days she was on that ship, and later described the arrival to him by letter exactly as she had imagined it.

A friend of his who owns a music shop refused to sell a guitar to a boy who could not play, demonstrating a few chords and telling him it would take a year to do that casually.

A friend recently told an acquaintance Neville's story, then mentioned that he had been divorced and remarried; on hearing of the divorce the lady closed her mind and rejected the whole story.

A lady who had heard him lecture years earlier in Detroit and Minneapolis imagined having lots of money despite poverty; after her mentally ill husband took his own life and her frugal brother and his wife died within three weeks of each other, she inherited everything and now lives in luxury as she had imagined.

Neville recalls his old friend and teacher Abdullah, born and raised a Jew, who refused kosher meat because it was too tough for his teeth and wanted aged hung meat, but insisted on kosher calves' liver of that day and freshly killed kosher chicken.

A friend of his who made a fortune from a chain of hamburger stands in New York City told him he hated to go to bed because it was a waste of time; dreams and visions meant nothing to the man, and he has since died leaving the business to his wife and three children.

Neville was with his friend at home the day Unico telephoned to call him in for an interview, after which he started the next month.
