Neville describes Abdullah as having been a strict orthodox rabbi in diet, dress and habit all his life until revelation and visions came to him, after which he spoke of the little child.

In San Francisco a woman told Neville her brother had been sentenced to six months hard labor in the Army; on Neville's instruction she imagined hearing the doorbell and finding him free at her door, and a week later he was discharged and arrived exactly so.

Neville's second brother Victor, with no money, imagined a sign implying the family owned a building; a casual acquaintance financed the lot at six percent, the family moved in that day, and when the financier died twenty-five years later he left Victor $150,000 in cash and property, calling him his best friend.

A woman painter in the audience wrote Neville letters recalling that just before he left last May for the east he told her her Disney Studio exhibition paintings were all sold on faith; they sold, and five months later a second display sold six hundred dollars of small paintings in five days.

A man who had had the same mystical experience posted a letter late at night to someone he loved thousands of miles away on the East Coast, imagining as he posted it that he laid it on the recipient's desk; next day the letter was on the desk before any mail was delivered, and Neville read the bewildered recipient's letter asking for an explanation.

A questioner named Lucy recalls that a card Neville sent her from New York arrived with no stamp on it, only a post office stamp, and that they joked nobody but Neville could get through the Post Office without a stamp; Neville answers that strange things happen after the child is born.

In a New York bookstore on 49th Street, Neville overheard a woman told a book was out of print, told her to assume she had it and leave her name; two weeks later a widow in Florida sent a box of books containing that very book.

Neville recalls lifelong Republican friends who, moved by a television spot in an earlier election, not only voted the other way but campaigned and gave money and time; visiting their homes back in New York today he cannot even raise the subject because of their animosity.

Neville retells the story of a fifty-six-year-old woman he wrote about in The Law and The Promise, who, too anxious to concentrate, condensed everything into the mood of a lavish income and slept in it, and afterwards received $2,500, money for a new Plymouth, and a lifelong anonymous deposit arranged through a law office in the city; she told him this in a letter.

Neville recounts a former Catholic priest of fourteen years who came to his New York City meeting drunk with a crowd of supporters after leaving the Church; Neville disapproved of his violent opposition, spoke that night on forgiveness, the man said he had never heard it before, came back four times, and later sent Neville a book he had written.

One of the three men wrote Neville that after assuming 'I am Jesus Christ' he dreamed he was at a long table with two first cousins, all raised Catholic, arguing that the power and wisdom of God was named Jesus Christ, at which the dream vanished.

A second man wrote Neville that, having assumed he was Jesus Christ, he dreamed of walking to an institution for men, holding off a vicious dog set on him as a trick, feeling only compassion, and repeating 1 Corinthians 13:11 before waking.

A third man, absent tonight, wrote that he dreamed of an enormous crowded amphitheater in which Neville stood at the top calling on all present to affirm 'I am Jesus Christ', and only a few, himself among them, rose.

Visiting the family in New York City about five years ago, the boy Neville Mark came up to Neville and said he felt that if he could turn around he would see who he really was, that he was wearing a mask and could not wait to die - which upset his mother, a poor girl who had married wealth and feared anything to do with death.
