A man whose child was being brought up by his wife's sister in St. Louis had tried for seven years to save enough for the trip; told to imagine only himself with his child and leave the means to God, he was given a job running from Los Angeles to New Orleans and within three months was transferred to the St. Louis run with a weekly twenty-four hour layover there.

Neville says he has watched people rise from nothing to great heights and then deny that their own imaginal activity caused it, saying it would have happened anyway.

His mother explained that his father, as man of the house, had to initiate everything — he would send home from the store the meat for breakfast and dinner, so she only learned from the porter's delivery whether it was hearts, kidneys or livers.

A friend wrote to Neville describing how he revised a phone call from a man who feared being fired, and how a prominent San Francisco man later asked for 'Mister' before his name exactly as the friend had imagined; the friend also spoke of stuffing his little pig.

A lady wrote to Neville a series of dreams: crossing water to his classes on stones placed just below the surface, seeing him in a theater playing every part including a blind man, and being caught up by a great wind and waking saying 'I love thee, O Lord.'

A friend of Neville's in Los Angeles imagined a colleague, who had been savaged by his supervisors and then quit, into a new job at twenty-five per cent more pay, and the man got exactly that without losing a day's salary.

Betty's father died in January 1968, leaving her $4,500, which she spent repairing her home. A later torrential rain revealed the roof needed replacing (an estimated $1,700 job), and around the same time an unexpected further $3,500 arrived from her father's estate, which she used, on her friend Jan's encouragement, to buy the Baldwin organ she had long wanted, with enough left over for the roof.

Neville recounts that Marta, roughly six months before her death, had a vision of him arriving in a 'self-propelled carriage' and stepping out clothed in power, proclaiming the power of God. He connects this vision to the divine name El Shaddai, God's first appearance to man as almightiness, revealed to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Neville describes a friend who worked as an advertising agent for a struggling international industry account. Told by his boss that the industry was 'on the skids', the agent built a campaign on the premise that its recovery was already an accomplished fact, and persuaded a twenty-member board of multi-millionaires -- despite their ethical qualms -- to run with it. In the first quarter of that year the industry not only stopped declining but posted net profits seventy-five million dollars higher than the same quarter the year before. A rival in the advertising field, suspecting a technique he didn't understand, wrote the boss a flattering letter fishing for the secret, falsely claiming his own firm had always used the same principle.

He relates a recent news report of a doctor who said his patient could not live three weeks without a heart transplant, operated, and the man lived 18 days.

A friend wrote that last week he went home to listen to Neville's tape, stretched out by the fire after dining, and fell asleep before hearing it.

A woman friend shared a vision with Neville: overcome by sleep early in the day she lay on the couch, heard a knock at her own back door, admitted a hungry young man, and while preparing his food believed it was 5:30 P.M. and her husband due home - until her little daughter woke her and it was only 11:00 a.m.; remembering she had never fed him, she fed him in her Imagination.

Six months before her death Marta had a vision in which a self-propelled carriage drew up, Neville stepped out clothed in sheer power, and she repeated to herself that he was Neville and he was God; she wrote it down and told him she had no doubt of it.
