A wealthy older woman seeks a younger husband through the law
Description
The day before the lecture Neville received a long distance telephone call from a very rich seventy-five-year-old New York woman who had used the law successfully for her son but could not bring about her own wish to marry a richer, much younger man in the social register; he told her the market was not limited because everyone walking the earth is God, only in states.

A woman's hands become severely blistered before revision heals them
Description
A woman told Neville, a few nights before this lecture, that a week earlier her hands had been blistered as if by acid; through five days of applying the technique of revision -- picturing her hands whole -- the blisters vanished without a scar. Neville offers her account as evidence that a person can produce real physical change in their own body through revision, however much this defies reason.

A friend observes a boat's wake while flying from San Diego
Description
A friend of Neville's who had served in the navy and always owned boats flew out of San Diego over the ocean and, for the first time seeing it from the air, watched the wake of a small thirty-foot boat below widen steadily and undisturbed even as his own plane, moving at three hundred miles an hour, carried him far away and turned inland. Neville uses the image to illustrate that one person's imaginative pattern spreads outward to touch everyone, just as the boat's wake -- starting as a narrow 'V' -- widens until it encompasses the whole sea.

Landlord restores neglected property through imagination
Description
Neville relates a case from people who write to him: a property owner, instead of taking legal action against neglectful tenants, took an imaginary ride past his property and saw it well kept — the tenant woman broke her leg, the drinking stepfather disappeared, and she returned with a new husband and the place is now in fine condition; the man later asked Neville whether he had caused the accident.
