By special delivery at eight this morning Neville received a letter from a woman friend, a widow and grandmother who is in tonight's audience and is minding her grandchildren while her daughter and son-in-law are on vacation; she wrote that in a dream she was married to a remorseless pruner of trees in a vast forest, that after seventeen years his work ended, and that in his face she saw every face she had ever known, though he had no name but 'my husband'.

Neville's publisher friend, unwell for months, watched a Grand Canyon travelog on TV with her husband, fell into a deep sleep, saw a brilliant light that was man whom she knew to be Christ and also Neville, heard him say 'Do not be afraid. I am with you always,' woke repeating 'I must remember what Neville told me,' and told Neville last Friday night only because her husband insisted.

A friend wrote to Neville describing his effort to obtain Royal Ballet tickets after missing the initial announcement of the company's visit to the city. Having already invited a companion without securing seats, he asked a friend who was a junior executive at the Hollywood Bowl to help. Early that week the friend promised to try despite the tickets' enormous demand; by Thursday there was still no word, and repeated attempts to reach him through Friday and Saturday failed, until finally on Sunday morning he called back to say he had secured two seats in the seventeenth row of the balcony.

Neville tells of a widow in his audience whose late husband had left her a few nearly-empty apartment buildings in a run-down Brooklyn neighbourhood. In the first week of October she marked the 28th on her calendar and assumed, as though it were already true, that every unit was rented; within days units began to fill, and by the 28th every one of them was let.

A friend of Neville's wrote a letter, delivered the morning of this lecture, describing how he had decided, about a week before, to get tickets to the visiting Royal Ballet for a certain occasion. After days of unanswered calls to the contact he had asked for help, the man finally called back on Sunday morning with two seats in the seventeenth row of the balcony. The friend accepted them at once, though he privately held to having imagined simply 'good seats' rather than that specific location -- and when he went to collect the tickets from a box-office man he had known for years, a facetious remark led to an unexpected upgrade.

Neville mentions that a woman had only recently heard a reassuring voice speaking to her from what he calls the one body -- the single divine body uniting all -- telling her, 'Do not be afraid! I am with you always.' He does not name her or say exactly when it happened, offering it as evidence that Christ's presence can still be heard directly today rather than being something confined to scripture and history.

His friend Jean, a vaudeville and TV writer who always said he had to live first, dropped dead on his face in a Los Angeles hotel suite three years ago while watching the early show, having never wanted the spiritual experience.

Per the same passage, about a month later (29 August, apparently 1965) the singer Gloria Wood wrote confirming she would help Danny with his songs, calling it, in her own words, 'prophetic' and 'as real as the nine that I have told you that are already behind us.'

Neville retells the case history sent him by a minister's wife: she imagined hearing her husband Danny say he had sold his song for a $100,000-plus income, and months later the singer Gloria Wood walked into Danny's little church, offered to help, and an album was made under her name.

Neville took Norma, a widowed former Scranton schoolteacher, to Abdullah, and when she could not grasp him taught her astrology instead; she wept after casting a chart for a businessman from the wrong page of the Ephemerides — a man not born for ten years — yet her conviction brought the promised $100 by Western Union that same evening while Neville sat in her hotel rooms.
